Marine

The Marine is part of a set of five sculptures representing the five branches of the military. It was a challenging project, making each branch and pose individual and distinct, but at the same time making them look like they belonged to each other as a set. I first did these sculptures for the Salem, Utah city cemetery in 2000 as their Veterans Memorial. They proved appealing to other communities and were duplicated for Springville, Utah in 2002 and Santaquin, Utah in 2005.
