Fallen Soldier (Orem City Veterans Memorial)

In 2003 I was able to do a life-sized veterans memorial for our local city cemetery. The committee wanted a nurse helping a soldier. I obliged them by creating a piece that had echoes of an earlier piece I did called, “Christ Healing the Blind Man”. I liked working with the elderly veterans and hearing some of their stories. Many of them died soon after in the years following the completion of the project.
