This pilot is part of a set of five sculptures representing the five branches of the military. It was a challenging project, making each branch and pose individual and distinct, but at the same time making them look like they belonged to each other as a set. I first did these sculptures for the Salem, Utah city cemetery in 2000, as their Veterans Memorial. They proved appealing to other communities and were duplicated for Springville, Utah in 2002 and Santaquin, Utah in 2005.

The human form is my subject and I use it to present my thoughts, my dreams. Themes that I like are anything that enobles man and messages that bring hope, or a renewal and an appreciation of life itself.
One of my dreams is to travel the world, sculpting all different cultures in their natural surroundings capturing the uniqueness and beauty of the human form.
I have created many sculptures and hope to create many, many more.
