Liz Reclining

This sculpture was created in 2003 at the modeling session in Alpine, Utah.  The model, Liz, was a swimmer with an athletic build but more rounded like swimmers tend to be.  She fell into this pose easily.  I altered my sculpture compared to the model by turning the hips more.  I did not articulate the face, hands or feet because I wanted to emphasize the beauty of the torso and give it more of a landscape feel.
